Play Therapy enrolment

In September of 2024 Mayo Cancer Support appointed a new play therapist to provide FREE play therapy at Rock Rose House to children who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis or bereavement.

The thoughts and feelings elicited by a cancer diagnosis or bereavement can be challenging for children to process.

Play therapy is an effective way for them to express some of their thoughts and emotions and overcome the difficulties they are experiencing in a relaxed, safe and confidential environment where they are guided and supported by a specialist play therapy counsellor.

Our FREE play therapy service is available every Tuesday at Rock Rose House in Castlebar.
