Record-breaking fundraising show

Local musical production company “Heroes for Hospice” is set to smash an impressive fundraising milestone when they take their latest show to the stage of the TF Royal on April 16 next.

The Ballina-based group celebrated 10 years of fundraising musical productions last year with a spectacular show, “One Day More”, that enjoyed a sell-out, four-night run at their local arts centre.

Now, due to unprecedented demand, the Heroes are taking “One Day More” to Castlebar for one night only at the TF Royal Theatre on Wednesday night, April 16th next.

Musical director, Lavinia Gilmartin, noted that their musical productions have, since 2014, raised over €95,000 for Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation. The ‘Heroes’ are hoping that this final run of “One Day More” could take that total to over €100,000, with Mayo Cancer Support now being added as a beneficiary of this latest production alongside Mayo Roscommon Hospice.

“One Day More” is a celebration of human resilience, told through an enthralling story of broken dreams, unrequited love, passion, sacrifice, and redemption.

Set to a spectacular score featuring some of the best-loved classics of musical theatre, the production is a breath-taking showcase of local performing talent.
